Edged board is made from coniferous logs with the edges peeked from the bark. Edged boards don't have wanes or skips — unprocessed edges typical of boards cut from round logs.
Wood grades play a very important role in construction, when the most suitable material is chosen. This is not surprising, since different grades of wood have their own unique characteristics of moisture resistance, ruggedness, stability during drying, etc. We use conifer wood for manufacturing edged board — larch, pine or spruce. Edged board made from larch is rot-proof. In case of proper operation, the lifecycle of such board is practically unlimited. For instance, edged board made from larch which is used in septic tanks and collectors does not lose its properties and can serve, without failing, for a sufficiently long period of more than one hundred years.
